Gender Equality is very important to Evandria. Every year the wage gap becomes smaller and smaller because of the strict laws uplifting each gender to have the same rights and the same equal pay for the same work performance. The strict laws for this include every organization or company to have 50% Male and 50% Female employees.
Abortion
Abortion has been legal in Evandria since the 1950's. The country prides itself on its liberal approach towards Abortion.
Drugs and Alcohol
The Legal drinking age is 18 but at 16 teens are allowed to drink beer and wine but only if their parents or legal guardian approve. If caught drunk driving it could be a large fine or imprisonment.
Serious Crimes are regarded as the following: - Murder - Molestation - Misuse/Addiction to Drugs - Drug Trafficking - Discharge of firearms - Mutiny or Treason
These crimes are treated very seriously. After the accused has had a fair trial, if they are found guilty of the crime depending on the seriousness, the person must spend several years in prison but one can get the death penalty or get exiled out of the country as well. Murder is immediately a life imprisonment, death penalty or exile. Molestation is several years to life imprisonment. Substance/Drug abuse will have the person join a rehab facility to recover and must be under close watch even after the recovery. They may have to serve a few years in prison depending on each individual case. However drug trafficking and distribution can lead to several years to life imprisonment and if the case is extremely serious there could be the death penalty or being exiled out of the country. Discharge of firearms leads to life imprisonment, or being exiled out of the country and Mutiny or treason is most likely being exiled as well.
Homosexual Marriage and Relationships
Evandria is very excepting of any sexuality and allows Marriage between the same sex.
